Nexus College is a leading provider of continuous professional development courses around the nation.
The college is expanding and has an immediate and ongoing need for teachers with the appropriate qualifications: a degree and TESOL certificate - to meet a growing need for English training in the offices of some of our international clients.
Preferred candidates bring to the role more then just a background in teaching but rather an understanding of the business community as well! You will have a drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle as not all our clients have conveniant access to public transport. (However, if you are not able to access a car but think you bring something special to the role, please drop us a note we can work something out...)
Nexus College provides both public and in-house training and your skills will be sort for both. Clients of the college typically come from senior management positions from a variety of countries working in a vast range of fields including finance, law, medicine, construction, information technology, hospitality and more. Class sizes range from one or two people (more a coaching role) up to no more then 15 students at a time.
We have a skeleton of a course developed by the colleges advisory panel; however, each program is tailored to suit student experiences, industry and levels of language. You will be invited to add your 'spunk' to the course each time; so creative teachers are encouraged to apply.
This role would be fantastic for a semi-retired individual, a working mother or an individual looking to subsidise their income.
THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION BUT RATHER A CONTRACTING ROLE WITH PEAKS AND FLOWS OF DEMAND. Current teachers at Nexus come from the all over the world and enjoy a relaxed contracting environment.
