Spending a year teaching English as a second language in Chinese high schools and middle schools is an exciting opportunity to live and work in a fascinating country. You will enjoy being part of the local community and working with Chinese students and their teachers with ample time to tour China on school vacation breaks.
ESLstaff.com represent a number of employers throughout China an most of the roles are a "team-teaching” position, where you will work in the classroom alongside experienced Chinese English teachers. Therefore, the position is open to all native English speakers regardless of previous teaching experience and qualifications; however, the right personality is of vital importance. Experience working within a team or in multicultural environments is an advantage.
The position is open to all native speakers from recent graduates to recent retirees and everyone in between. You must be in excellent health and able to meet all Chinese Government visa requirements.
Remuneration includes: state provided housing, a comfortable Chinese salary and return airfares to China redeemable upon completion of the 12-month contract. Plus a bonus travel allowance for outstanding performers in the role.
Experienced English teachers are also welcome to apply as we have a smaller number of positions in colleges and universities that require education related qualifications and a background in teaching.
